Actor Jason Gann said getting out of his dog suit is a welcome respite from his role on the FX show, "Wilfred."

The actor and executive producer stopped by the Fox411 studios to chat about the show, which also stars Elijah Wood, and said he is happy to be out of the dog suit, for now.

"I'm excited because I just got out of the dog suit," he said. "I was in it for three months and I've been loving getting some sun and going to the gym and getting something of a life back. But it's sometimes not a lot of fun getting in and out of that dog suit."

"It drives me insane," he said. "But when I watch the edit, it makes it all worth it."

The show was FX's most watched comedy launch in network history and focuses on a depressed young man, played by Wood, who is entrusted with caring for his neighbor's dog. But while the world sees the dog as an animal, Wood's character sees the dog as a man in a dogsuit.
